GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Full time position in a multi-disciplinary wellness facility regarding development, implementation, and coordination of chiropractic care to assist in the treatment and prevention of health problems associated with the body's muscular, nervous, and skeletal systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a series of manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system.
Evaluates the functioning of the neuromuscular skeletal system and the spine using systems of chiropractic diagnosis.
Diagnoses health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories.
Interviews, observes, examines patients, and interprets x-rays.
Maintains accurate case histories of patients.
Advises patients about recommended courses of treatment.
Obtains and keeps record of patients' medical histories.
Arranges for diagnostic x-rays to be taken.
Analyzes x-rays in order to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
Counsels patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other matters.
Consults with and refer patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary.
Creates integrative treatment plan for the patients.
Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. The team includes mental health therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, dietitians, wellness coaches, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, professional organizers, and educators.
Organizes community educating workshops in the facility.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Professional degree (D.C ), plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of highly complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
Probable errors would normally not be detected in succeeding operations and may have serious effects in relationships with patrons and/or with the operations of other segments of the organization. Frequent possibilities of error would exist at all times, since the above-mentioned areas are inherent in the job.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Doctorate degree from an accredited school of chiropractic medicine
Licensure in the State of Florida
