FTE: Full Time
Work Hours: Typically, 9a-5pm; may include evenings, nights, and weekends as needed for laboratory sessions or clinical outreach/patient care.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Professor in Sports Medicine has primary responsibility for teaching courses, as assigned, and providing oversight and guidance for clinical practice experiences with students. The individual will engage in service and scholarship and will be expected to travel to sites to provide clinical care or represent the university at professional meetings and conferences.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Training
Master’s or Doctorate level first-professional degree with specialty or emphasis in a sports medicine field. These can include an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or Chiropractic Physician (DC).
Certifications & Licenses
Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT, ATC) with current and in good standing Oregon license, or the ability to attain within 60 days after offer of employment OR Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) with current and in good standing Oregon license, or the ability to attain within 60 days after offer of employment.
Experience
3+ years clinical experience within the sciences that pertain to sports medicine.
Related Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Familiarity with research methods and the research process.
